Octagon Gaylord boxes are eight-sided corrugated bulk containers for flowable and heavy loads. Also called octabins or octagonal bulk bins, they sit on a standard pallet, ship knocked down, and set up as a sleeve with a lid and base. The extra corners spread internal pressure more evenly than a rectangular Gaylord, which reduces sidewall bulge when you pack resin pellets, powders, granules, produce, or recyclables. Jingpak supplies triple-wall and 5-wall octagon Gaylord boxes in the standard U.S. 48 × 40 × 40 in size, plus custom footprints. Complete sets are available with a corrugated cap and a food-grade or industrial PE liner.

We use triple-wall or 5-wall corrugated board with BAC or AAA flute. The board meets an ECT of at least 91 (16,000 N/m) and a burst strength of at least 455 psi (32 kg/cm²).
What is the static load capacity?
An octagon Gaylord box supports a static load of at least 5,070 lbs (2,300 kg). A rectangular Gaylord box supports a static load of at least 3,970 lbs (1,800 kg).
What sizes are available (48x40x40, 46x38x36)?
The standard U.S. size is 48 × 40 × 40 inches. Custom sizes are also available, including 46 × 38 × 36 inches and other export footprints.
Are octagon Gaylord boxes shipped flat or assembled?
They are shipped knocked down and flat packed for easier handling and lower freight cost.
Do you supply PE liners and lids?
Yes. We can supply octagon Gaylord boxes as a complete set, including the sleeve, lid, and PE liner. The lid is a corrugated cap that improves stacking and dust protection. The PE liner is available in food-grade or industrial-grade film for resin, powders, and granules. An optional discharge liner or base-discharge design is also available for easier emptying.
