Honeycomb Paperboard Sheets
Honeycomb paperboard sheets are lightweight sandwich panels with a hexagonal paper core between kraft or white liners. The cell structure gives high compression strength at low weight, so the sheets can replace wood blocking, EPS pads and heavy corrugated in transit packaging. JINGPAK makes cut-to-size honeycomb cardboard sheets in custom thickness, cell size and liner grade. Typical panels run 10–50 mm and can be scored, slotted or die-cut into layer pads, top caps, partitions and crate walls. Use them for appliances, furniture, automotive parts and pallet protection. Applications of heavy-duty corrugated sheets
• Pallet layer pads — separate stacked cartons, coils, bottles or parts; reduce crush and forklift puncture. • Bottom / top sheets — protect pallet decks and cargo tops during stretch-wrap and container stuffing. • Heavy-duty boxes and Gaylords — motors, compressors, pumps, appliances, automotive assemblies. • Timber-crate replacement — lower tare weight, no ISPM-15 heat treatment, fully recyclable fiber. • Dividers and fitted inserts — scored or die-cut 7-layer panels for high-mass components. • Floor and transit protection — temporary walk boards and machine skid liners in dry indoor use.

What strength ratings are typical?
ECT: about 67, 80, 90, or 112 kN/m
Mullen / burst: about 700, 900, 1,100, or 1,300 psi
US catalog pads are often sold as 1,100 lb test triple wall.
Paper grammage matters as much as flute. A light BAC can be weaker than a heavy AAC.
Can they replace wood?
For many dry indoor pads and some crates, yes: lower tare weight, recyclable, no heat-treat stamp. They are not waterproof. Do not use untreated kraft TW as outdoor decking or in wet containers without a coating or wrap.
Are they waterproof?
Standard kraft triple wall is not water-resistant. Strength drops fast above ~85% RH or after wetting. For damp lanes ask for wet-strength liners, higher Cobb treatment, curtain coat, or a plastic/film wrap.
What sizes are standard?
Common sheet sizes: 24×36, 36×48, 40×48, 48×48, 48×72, 48×96 in.
40×48 is the usual GMA pallet pad. Custom cut and scored sheets are normal.
Does flute direction matter?
Yes. Flutes running across the short span usually resist bending better on a pallet. Specify flute direction on custom sizes.
How should they be stored?
Flat, indoors, off the floor, covered, about 30–70% RH. Do not store against damp concrete or in open yards.
